This Grand Tour of Kashmir takes you to all the tourist attraction of Srinagar city famous Mughal Gardens Chashma Shahi, Nishat garden, Shalimar garden and Botanical Garden.
You visit Shankaracharya temple and Pari Mahal, located on a hillock offers scenic views of the entire city along with famous Dal lake and Adventure Trip to Sonamarg, Gulmarg, Pahalgam and enjoy Horse Riding, Water Rafting.
Itinerary
Day 01: Delhi/ Srinagar. (1750 Meter) (L+D)
On arrival at Srinagar airport , you will be met by our representative at the airport and transfer you to the houseboat with warm welcome and drinks (Kashmiri Kawa with Cake and Biscuits )After noon: Shikara ride to world famous Dal Lake, visit floating Gardens ,lotus Gardens and Vegetable gardens and back water canals,, Dinner & Over night stay at premium Deluxe Houseboat.
Day2: Srinagar: ( B+ L+D)
After breakfast visit to famous Mughal Gardens build by Mughal Emperors during their rule of Kashmir First visit Nishat (Garden of pleasure) built by Asif Khan brother in law of Jahangir in 1632 AD overlooking the crystal clear Emerald green waters of the Dal lake then to Shalimar (Garden of Love) built by Mughal Emperor Jahangir for his wife Empress Noor Jehan. During spring until autumn these gardens are full of flowers. Dinner and overnight stay at Bostan Premium Deluxe Houseboats.
DAY 3 :- Srinagar–Gulmarg( B+ L+D)
After breakfast drive to Gulmarg 56 kms. On reaching Gulmarg , Check in Hotel, later enjoy a cable car gondola ride ( optional) high above the meadows and snow covered slopes of Affarwat and Khilanmarg mountains from 8800 ft to 10 200 ft of Kongdoori which provide a play ground for skiing, Gulmarg is one of the famous hill resorts and it is popular for its 18 hole golf course( summer) the highest green gold course in the World and during winter Gulmarg developed one of the best Ski resort in the world . Dinner and overnight stay at hotel.
Day 4:- Gulmarg- Naranag ( B+ L+D)
After breakfast drive from Gulmarg to Naranag about 70 Kms drive,2.5 Hours, on reaching check in camps /Tents for overnight stay. after lunch take a walk around the village. We first stopped at the ruins of the 8th-century temple from which Naranag derives its name. The temple is dedicated to Shiva and has a rock-cut Shiva lingam in the temple compound. The temple was built by Lalitaditya Muktapida of the Naga dynasty. What remains of the stone temple gives glimpses of Aryan Kashmiri architecture. Sadly, it is neglected and more of a ruin than a temple. Yet, it is worth seeing. Dinner and overnight stay in Camp .
Day 5 Naranag- Gang bal lake ( B+ L+D)
After breakfast start your track to The Gang bal Lake with picnic / pack lunch .Gang bal Lake, is a lake situated at the foothills of Mount Harmukh (the second highest mountain peak in the vicinity of Kashmir valley) in Gandar Bal district, north of Srinagar city in the state of Jammu and Kashmir, India. It is an alpine high altitude oligo tropic lake, home to many species of fish, including the brown trout. The lake has a maximum length of two and a half kilometers and maximum width of one kilometer. It is fed by precipitation, glaciers and springs. The lake water outflows to a nearby Nundkol Lake and then via Wangath Nallah to Sindh river. The Gang bal lake is approached from Srinagar 45 kilometers by road via Ganderbal up to Naranag and then a trek of 15 kilometers upslope leads to the lake, which can be covered by a horse ride or by foot. The Gujaras shepherds can be seen during the trek with their flocks of sheep and goats. Dinner and overnight stay in Camp at Gangbal lake
DAY 6:- Gang bal LAKE- Naranaga- Sonmarg( B+ L+D)
Morning explore the lake and HARMuk peak , later track to Naranag picnic lunch . Leave Gang bal and trek through the meadows of Bodpathri, Trunkol and
descend through a pine forest to reach Naranag,. Later drive to SONMARG, check in hotel for dinner and overnight stay
Day 7:- Sonmarg- Srinagar( B+ L+D)
After breakfast enjoy the surrounding of Sonmarg, an interesting small town where mountain people from the surrounding valleys come down for trading. The meadows of Sonmarg have a spectacular beauty with the loveliest of Alpine flowers, lots of fir, pine and silver birch trees. (Optional) pony ride to Thajwas Glaciers .Later drive back to Srinagar hotel / houseboat for dinner and overnight stay
Day 8:- Srinagar-Yusmarg- Pahalgam ( B+ L+D)
After breakfast drive to Yusmarg 48 kms . Yusmarg in Kashmiri means, The Meadow of Jesus. It is believed the natives that, Jesus came to Kashmir & stayed at Yusmarg for some time. It is an alpine valley covered with snow clad mountains & the meadow of Pine & Fir. It lies 13 km south of Charar i Sharief a town of Budgam dist. of Jammu & Kashmir. It is situated at the bank of Doodh ganga river which is a tributary of Jhelum river. It is located in the Pir Panjal peaks, a sub range of Himalaya. The peaks are the Tatakooti peak for which the expedition lead from this hill station. Later proceed to Pahalgam 125kms check in hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 9:- Pahalgam- Srinagar ( B+ L+D)
After breakfast take a walk around the pahalgham valley and villages to interact with local people or (Optional pony ride to Balsaran kashmir vallet. You may want to walk through ther meadows of pahalgam. Enjoy the trip to Betab vallet. Chandanwari by local jeep( at your own expense). Later drive back to Srinagar hotel/ houseboat for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 10:- Departure (B)
After breakfast drive to Srinagar airport as per your flight timing for a spectacular mountain flight to Delhi.
