Itinerary
Day 01 :- Arrival Amritsar
Arrival at the Amritsar airport and transfer to the hotel.
Day 02 :- Amritsar - Wagah Border and Local sightseeing
After Breakfast Visit the Golden Temple and later visit the massacre of Jalian Wallan
Bagh. Afternoon little free time to rest and evening around 3 PM drive to Wagah Border
to see the Closing Ceremony, event starts exactly by 5.30 PM everyday. Border closing
'lowering of the flags' ceremony is a daily military practice that the security forces of
India and Pakistan. This ceremony takes place every evening before sunset at the
Wagah border, which as part of the Grand Trunk Road was the only road link between
these two countries before the opening of the Aman Setu in Kashmir in 1999. The
ceremony starts with a blustering parade by the soldiers from both the sides and ends up
in the perfectly coordinated lowering of the two nations flags, it is called the beating
retreat border ceremony on the international level. One infantryman (Jawan) stands at
attention on each side of the gate. As the sun sets, the iron gate at the border is opened
and the flags are lowered. The flags are folded and the ceremony ends with a retreat that
involves a brusque handshake between soldiers from either side. Return back to Hotel
and Overnight.
Day 03 :- Amritsar – Dharamshala 201 kms / 4:30 hrs by surface
After Breakfast drive to Mc Leodganj (Dharamshala), magnificently set to the
background of the Dhauldhar mountains and the seat of his Holiness, the Dalai Lama,
the leader of the Tibetans, since 1960. On arrival check in at hotel. Evening visit
Church, Bhagsu Nag Temple and Tibetan Monastery. Overnight at hotel.
Day 04 :- Dharamshala- Manali 235 Kms 7:30 Kms Drive
After breakfast we drive to Norbulinga Institute, After that we drive long journey to
Manali . On the way to Manali we may have our lunch at Mandi.Overnight Stay at
Hotel .
Day 05 :- Manali Sightseeing
First of all we go to rohtang top. From where can see some panorama view of the
mountain. Lots of Indian and foreigner tourist can be seen there. After that we drive
back to Solang Valley . we shall enjoy cable car ride and paragliding also but its
optional .after that we drive back to Manali Hotel in the evening time free and easy for
shopping in the market
Day 06 :- Manali – Shimla 250 Kms 6 Hours
Early morning we proceed to Shimla, on the way , We may enjoy with white water
rafting. O/N Stay at Hotel, Shimla
Day 07 :- Shimla Sightseeing
After Breakfast, We start our local sightseeing from Shimla Toy train . We shall take
train from Shimla to Taradevi Station Kalka–Shimla railway is
a 2 ft 6 in (762 mm) narrow-gauge railway in North India which traverses a mostly-
mountainous route from Kalka to Shimla . It is known for dramatic views of the hills and
surrounding villages. The railway was built in 1898 to connect Shimla, the summer
capital of India during the British Raj, with the rest of the Indian rail system. During its
construction, 107 tunnels and 864 bridges were built along the route. The project's chief
engineer was H. S. Harington.
after that we proceed to indian institute of Advance studies . it was known as Viceregal
Lodge . In the evening time ,We go to Visit hanuman temple which mis located on the
top of hill.
Day 08 :- Shimla to Amritsar
After Early Breakfast we start our long journey to go to Amritsar via Chandigarh . in the
evening time take flight to go back sweet home
